What international solidarity is?

The term international solidarity is used in a globalization context. It expresses the want to act together to build a fairer world, working on reducing inequalities between people. It includes citizen education, public awareness of international issues, included in developed countries. The idea is to “work with” and not enforce its opinion to the other. International solidarity has to be sustainable, and does not answer to an emergency situation.

Our mission

Notre mission

According to article 2 of the statutes of our association;

The purpose of this association is to promote and manage various international solidarity projects in speech therapy (communication, awareness, activities, promotion of the French language, etc.).

It also aims to promote awareness-raising activities in the various fields of speech therapy, as well as solidarity actions towards local associations and projects.

Concretely, the objective of our association is to gather the necessary funds to go to a country where we can support a local demand after having established contact with an association on the spot.

The collection of these funds takes place over the course of an academic year and at the end of this year, we leave to carry out our mission during the school vacations.

Different events will be organized during the year by the members of the association to collect the necessary funds (sale of cakes, pancakes, themed evenings etc.)

Once on site, the team will carry out activities with the aim of prevention, providing equipment, renovating buildings if necessary, etc.

The concrete objectives of the project are to be defined before the departure.

Knowing that :

- the ethical dimension must be taken into account

- it is necessary to carry out an action that will not create dependency

- the members of the association are students and therefore will not perform professional acts

- we must, as much as possible, not forget to respect our environment
